WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSIC, HYBRID, VOLUME AND MEGA VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Classic Eyelash Extensions are one extension applied to one natural eyelash. Hybrid is 1/2 Classic Extensions and 1/2 Volume Extensions. Volume Eyelash Extensions are finer lashes up to 6D to add more fullness and density. Mega Volume Eyelash Extensions are finer eyelash extension up to 12D. Perfect for those that desire maximum fullness/density and want more of a strip lash look.
DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS HARM YOUR NATURAL LASH?
This is a common concern I get asked about almost daily. My response is, “Yes. Yes it is very damaging if the skill isn’t preformed properly.” So to really answer peoples question…No. It is not damaging to your natural lash when you hire a lash artist that has the proper training to preform the appropriate skill.
I HAVE LASHES ON RIGHT NOW BY A PREVIOUS ARTIST, CAN YOU FILL THEM?
You will need to book a new client appointment. I will do a consultation at the beginning of your appointment to asses the existing eyelash extensions. If they are not properly isolated and are causing damage to your natal eyelashes, we will do a removal and then apply a full set. I do not charge for removals if you are getting a full set. If they are done correctly, then I will be able to fill overtop of the existing eyelash extensions.
DO I NEED TO PREP BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
Prior to your appointment, arrive without any makeup, do not curl your lashes or wear mascara the day before and the day of your appointment. It will help minimize the cleanup time and allow more time for lashing. Also, please avoid drinking coffee prior to your appointment as it can cause jittery eyes.
WHAT FACTORS DETERMINE THE LENGTH, FULLNESS & STYLE OF MY EXTENSIONS?
Lash extensions are based on your natural lashes. The length restrictions are a MAXIMUM of double your natural lash length & the fullness is based on the amount of natural lashes you have. Style isn’t as restrictive but there are specific styles that flatter each eye shape. I will explain and recommend a style most flattering for you as well as the look you are going for.
HOW LONG WILL MY NEW LASHES LAST?
Your new lashes will last between 2-3 weeks depending on your skincare routine and your own natural lash life cycle. To maintain the full look of your lashes, it will require you to maintain fills every 2-3 weeks. Factors such as exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall quicker.
DO I NEED TO WASH MY EXTENSIONS?
Yes. You should wash them daily with an oil free cleanser, thoroughly rinsing along the lash line with your cleanser brush and rinse with water.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY NEW LASH EXTENSIONS?
- Do not get your lashes wet for at least 24 hours after application
- Do not go tanning for 24 hours after application
- Use an oil-free eye makeup remover
- Do not rub, pick or pull your eyelashes
- If using mascara, use water based formulas
- When applying mascara avoiding the root area.
- Do not use an eyelash curler
- Try to avoid exposure to high heats, steam, sauna and friction
- Do not receive chemical treatments, such as eyelash tinting or perming
